The Five Strategies
Five strategies of Jesus — embodied in seven steps of Scripture storytelling and dialogue — pointing toward one word.
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." — John 15:4
These are not five separate lessons taught in sequence and then left behind. They are five conditions — five acts of a single living practice that Jesus first modeled at twelve years old in the Temple and embodied throughout His ministry. Together, practiced in the seven steps of Scripture storytelling and dialogue, they equal one word: abiding.
PLANT
Plant seed in soil
We are soil — formed from dust, made to receive. The seed is God's living Word. When we plant what He said and step aside, the mystery of the Kingdom begins.
Explore Strategy 1 →HEAR
Hear & obey God's Word
Being heard is so close to being loved that they are indistinguishable. Hearing God's Word truly and deeply is how faith comes — and faith that takes root obeys.
Explore Strategy 2 →DISCOVER
Use stories, examples & questions
Jesus asked 339 questions and directly answered about 8. Truth discovered is truth owned. The finder is the owner — and the owner is the one who acts.
Explore Strategy 3 →SPACE
Build sacred space to hear & obey
Silence builds the walls. Listening builds the floor. Questions open the doors. Obedience is the foundation. Without space, the Word cannot be heard — and what is not heard cannot be obeyed.
Explore Strategy 4 →TRUST
Use God's Word as spirit & life
The Spirit and the Word are one breath. Conviction and transformation belong to the Spirit — not to us. Plant the seed. Build the space. Step back. Trust.

PLANT + HEAR + DISCOVER + SPACE + TRUST
Abiding
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."
