"The seed is the Word of God." — Luke 8:11 · NKJV
Much Bible teaching begins with the teacher's ideas and uses Scripture to support them. Stories get replaced by commentary. The living Word gets crowded out by words about it. People leave knowing more of what a man thought than what God said.
This strategy begins somewhere different. The soil is us. The seed is Him. The bread is life.
We Are Soil
Genesis says God formed us from the dust of the ground and breathed life into us. We are not primarily thinkers or producers — we are receptive soil, shaped by God's own hands to receive what He plants. When Jesus described how God's Kingdom works, He began with a sower and four soils. The mystery of how God works in human lives starts here: in the relationship between seed and soil.
The Seed Is God's Living Word
"My word shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and prosper in the thing for which I sent it." — Isaiah 55:11 · NKJV
God's Word is not raw material for a sermon. It is the living seed — with the mystery of reproducing life hidden inside it. When we plant men's ideas instead of God's Word, we cancel the seed.
Jesus Himself never spoke on His own authority — only what the Father gave Him. Are we better teachers than Jesus, that we can afford to plant something else?
The Harvest Is Bread
There is a famine that has nothing to do with food — a famine and hunger for the living Word of God. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." To eat God's Word is to hear it in a way that results in doing it. When God's Word is planted in receptive soil and received as living bread, it grows into something that bears fruit — and feeds others.
What You Will Discover
The central discovery of this strategy is not a technique — it is a truth about the nature of God's Word. In this training, you will learn why planting God's Word without addition is not a constraint but a liberation: God's living Word does what no commentary can. Before you plant it in others, you will receive it yourself. Every session begins the same way — with you as soil, not teacher. That is the first and irreplaceable thing to discover. You'll put this into practice hands-on in our STRATEGIES 1 Training.
The soil is us. The seed is Him. The bread is life.
